Wife and I are thinking of buying one of these two since the little guy will be here soon. Thoughts and experiences with either? TIA.

I have always owned Hondas and never had a problem with any of them. Honda>>>>>Ford anything IMO.

If you want it to last, get a Honda.

Ford is doing great things. I'd go edge though.

Honda. And yes I'm biased because I sell them.

But really...the stats and numbers don't lie..Honda is the better choice.

I owned 2 CR-Vs up until a week ago. Love them both. Wanted to get another but the SO wanted a Kia Sportage. She gets what she wants. While I am impressed with Kia (surprise! I was totally against it) I still would have rather gotten another Honda.

My wife has a 2013 CR-V EX-L model. She loves it. It is roomier inside than the outside dimensions imply. I find it to feel a jumpy and lightweight if that makes any sense (skittish - not heavy and connected to the road). The Pandora integration, IPhone texting and backup camera are nice features.

I would think that the resale for a Honda will be much higher than the Ford if you decide to switch vehicles.

She averages 30MPG and she drives it like she stole it.

For the same price I would have rather she got the Suburu Outback but she wanted the Honda.

I have a 2013 Kia Optima and its a really great car... Saved about 5,000 by not getting an accord... IMO they will last the same amount of time.. 5 grand is 5 grand.... I also have a 2008 Kia spectra that just hit 45,000 miles.. NEVER had an ounce of problems with it....

But as far as this thread goes. The Honda is the answer over the Ford.

If I had to choose between those two I would go Honda. My work vehicle is a hyundai santa fe. It has 274,000 miles on it and still runs like the day I got it. When it finally gives out I hope they give me another.

Since you're in this category, I would advise you to look into the Hyundai Santa Fe. This is back with the '10 or so models, but Hyundai topped the category in everything other than resale value at the time when I was considering these. In the end, I went another route. But if I were looking today and limited just to your two, it would be a coin flip for me. Maybe a slight edge on the side of Ford.

Escape is more fun to drive although neither are a sports car. The CRV is a great vehicle but kind of made for a woman. My wife has one.

I'm in the market for something similar. Tried a 2010 CRV, but it was a little loud in the cabin for my taste and not the best ride... could be improved in newer models, though. I'm going to check out a Venza. Pretty high hopes from the reviews I've seen.

Well this will be for my wife mostly. We aren't necessarily honed in on those two. Thinking of checking out the Mazda CX-5 too

I wouldn't be a proper salesmen if I didn't try to get prospects

So..if anyone has any questions about Honda's, or are interested...please email me at JGuidry@Mossisboss.com
