I don't know about "best", but it's up there, for sure.
Some other items I'd nominate are:
Crawfish Cheesecake - Ruffino's
Blackened Alligator - The Chimes

FYI the bread is bought frozen. It is good but if that's your best app at least bake it in house

Great choices. I'd also add the Fresh Fish en Papillote from Louisiana Lagniappe.

Chimes Blackened Alligator? GTFO. I'm sorry but the fact this was considered tells you how bad BR restaurants are.

Lawrence bread-Gino's if you're talking bread.

I would say the same thing about premade bread dough gussied up with some store bought seasonings, being considered.

At what store can I purchase the aforementioned premade bread? For it is delicious and my hunger for it must be sated

I'll admit it's pretty good for a fatty appetizer. I just wouldn't put it on the same level as some things I've had at NOLA restaurants.

And the best restaurant in and around Baton Rouge is Roberto's River Road Restaurant.

Not in Baton Rouge, but yes, it's the best in the area.

I lol'd too. People in BR go apeshit over alligator and boiled crawfish.

Little Village bread in downtown BR.

Look, it's an average restaurant. Need not concern yourself.

Agreed. The bread app is the only remarkable thing on the menu. The prices are also pretty outrageous considering the quality of the food is very average.

And they use frozen dough.

Gnocchi with the pesto and roasted red pepper sauce at Nino's is my favorite dish in BR.

Carpaccio app at Flemmings is a close second.
