Will we base the offense around having a mobile QB? i.e. Options, Read Options, bootlegs, rolling the pocket. Or will we see an offense more like this past years?

We'll run the ball 600+ times IMO, so there's that

It will be completely different. Thats something people didn't realize about the Outback Bowl.

Cameron's offense was designed for Zach Mettenberger. Sure, they tweaked it in the weeks leading up to the game for AJ, but this offseason it will be completely revamped to focus on his set of skills and our new set of WRs/TEs/RBs.

Good OC's don't ever keep the exact same offense with completely different personnel skill sets. It will be all good, just wait.

Will be a predominantly running team setting up some play action passes to keep defense honest.

It will be like comparing last year's offense to the one JJ ran in the BCSNCG

for reference, please as replay of game vs Iowa a few weeks back

no one knows what LSU is gonna be doing next year. We don't even know our complete roster or starting QB.

I think it will be Jennings or Harris., both of them are good runners, Harris is very fast, like Marcus Mariota from Oregon fast, or faster. and Jennings is certainly very mobile as well, his high school high lights show he is a very good runner. I hope we adjust our offense around the mobility of whichever one it is. Because I think it would be wasteful to waste that mobility, we saw the two teams in the national championship this year both have mobile QBs that they utilize well.

Miles will not have confidence in the throwing game, so he will feel more justified than ever to run, run, run, run ,run and take his chances with the old school formula.

Expect the 2011 game plan.

I had a dream that Rettig was the starter. He could throw like Matt and Quinn could catch like Landry and Avery was like Randle!

Hope that helps

If Rivers wins the QB spot, Cam won't have to change a thing. Everyone can keep complaining about concrete feet.

It'll be Jennings, Harris, Rivers, or Bolden.

It'll be Jennings, Harris, or Rivers.

It'll be Jennings or Harris.

It'll be Jennings.

There, glad that's settled.

We don't. But we know that unless someone gets magically better in the off season is going to be jennings.

I'm thinking it will be a lot like Auburn's offense.

The anti crowton. Cam designs his offense around the weapons he has. He doesn't try to force players into roles that they aren't good at.

I firmly believe than cam would have won a NC with Jefferson/lee in 2011...

Camerban never would have pulled Lee for no good reason after the 8-0 start. The offense was out of synch the rest of the season with the other QB. (Don't want to even type his name) Cam would have kept things rolling with JL and no doubt we would have won it that year. Would liked to have seen Jarrett Lee as the starter for four years being coached by Cam. Oh, what could have been!

I'm not ready to write Rivers off just yet like a lot of people do here. Actually, I would be most relieved if Rivers ends up winning the job cause on paper he is the most experienced one out of those four.

Also, dont forget Rettig, who was the 4th ranked pro QB out of high school. Why do people keep overlooking him?

This QB situation is going to show what CC as a OC is really worth next year...if he pulls this one together and wins the West, he deserves whatever he will be paid!

Obviously it'll be different. Offenses evolve every year. If you look at CC you'll see his history with pocket passers. I can't see them wasting Harris. RS Harris. Battle becomes between Jennings, Rettig, and Rivers. I personally think Rivers wins. They will definitely include packages for AJ. CLM is too stubborn to just stick to one QB. He saw how effective a big arm QB is in the sec. Whoever wins the QB spot is irrelevant. They'll try to continue to build off the offensive success of this year.
