In no particular order

Chipotle - This place had potential but was cop-opted by the health freak community, limited options in what to put in your burrito and its overpriced for what you get. Freebirds does it better

McAllisters - If you like this place and you are a dude you might want to check your manhood, this is a great place to go if you like spending $10+ on extremely small portions and want to be hungry again in an hour. Each time I have gone here(never on my own will) I find myself hungry before I even leave.

Five Guys - Burger and Fries? That will be $11. Oh you want a drink? Now you are looking at $13. Haven't been to this place in 3 years but those were the prices last time I went, I am sure it is higher now. Food is good but too expensive for what you get. Burger fries and drink should never run you over $10 anywhere

Subway - The quality is bad. If you are going to drop dough on a sub, might as well go to a gourmet sub place like Jersey Mikes. You are better off getting ingredients for a sub sandwich at the grocery store and making your own subs... much more economical and the quality is the same.

Wing Stop - Used to be good, but prices have spiraled out of control where it is no longer an economical option to get wings anymore. $13 for 10 wings and fries is just asking too much.

Chick Fil A - I like the concept and what they stand for but honestly its not enough bang for the buck. For people with larger appetites it doesn't do the job based on the amount of money you have to pay. Last time I went a few years ago I remember shelling out $7.50 or so for a chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and a drink and being hungry a couple hours later.

So you are fat aren't you?
J/J. I will pay $1 more to be in a place like this. Their customer service is second to none.

Can I rightfully agree with this, having admittedly never set foot in an In & Out?

The way some folks rave about this joint, there's NO WAY it's not overrated.

I get why people love it. It is a decent burger, they use local farms, and it is cheap. Like it is McDonalds cheap, which is awesome compared to the other "gourmet" fast food places like 5 Guys and Smashburger.

But it is by no means anything more than a fast food burger.

I've never McAllister's hungry or been hungry with an hour of eating there.

We have lots of In-N-Out around here and I can see why people say it is over rated, I used to be the same way until I began to order their burgers/fries "Animal Style" and now I am a believer, so delicious and tasty

Non-animal style is mediocre, its the animal style that makes it good

I think most people who love In-N-Out understand to put it's greatness in the context of its competitors. And truly, it blows the McDonald's and Burger King burgers out of the water.

you seem equally concerned about portion size as quality. I find it difficult to get both at a any chain restaurant.

Chipotle is shite. Their pile of meat sitting in a bath of grease makes me want to puke. Only eaten there twice and both times it fricked my stomach up. No thanks.

Are you overweight? I ask only because Americans as a whole eat portions that are too big and a common theme in your complaint is that portions at many of these places are too small.

Popeye's

Come to Meridian and I'll Treat you to their flagship stores. You need to make reservations, because I only do it about once every two or three months, usually after church on Sunday. You can come to church with us and then we'll go for chicken afterwards. After that, home for a nap on the floor in the den, carried to dreamland by the crowd and commentary noise from a golf match.

Hard to beat Popeye's product and the service at both of the two stores in Meridian is friendly and quick.

Only place better for fried chicken (IMO) is a totally different end result (from Popeye's) cooked up by a sweet little old southern lady at covered dish church suppers in Marion, AL. Oh and you must also have a side of cooked cabbage made by another little old southern lady at the same church.

That church has great pie, too.

Chipotle

I believe I read they are working on a pizza concept? I'm sure they will excel in creating an assembly line process for a mediocre product.

in defense of the OP, perhaps he simply wants to get his money's worth. I agree most people errantly focus on portion size. But I think thats because we want to feel like we got our money's worth. Thus the $5 Footlong. If the food is going to be shity and expensive, at least pile it on.
