Best US time zone for live sports?

I've lived on the east coast all of my life and am pretty much used to late starts and the occasional lack of sleep staying up to watch a night game.

I sometimes wonder if it would be nice to be out in Cali and have everything get over early. Although it would be weird to have football start at 10am and MNF/Super Bowl start in the late afternoon. I guess you'd still have local games going on late but the big national events would be way off.

Which one would you like better?

I think Central time is actually the best of both worlds.

But I've never lived in Central time so I wouldn't know.

Central time rules. As soon as I'm off work, those 7 PM EST starts are already on my TV during dinner.

The one problem with central is that when games start at 6 pm it is sometimes too early with let's say traffic, fixing dinner, household chores you do when you come home and sometimes picking up kids from activities.

Games in each time zone start relative to that time zone.

Games don't start at 10am Pacific Time.

I actually prefer noon and 1 pm for NFL games. Sometimes you have to do some errands or chores or yard work or there's church sometimes.

The only games I can think of that start at 7 are basketball on ESPN during the week.

Not a major issue IMO

Last night there were games that started at 6pm--Michigan State and northwestern on BTN and for baseball season in the summer 6 pm central time is tough when it's so light out and the weather is good. lol.

West...only if you don't go to church. I'm reminded of a Tosh joke... "it's so hard to be a Christian on the West Coast..."

I would actually prefer Eastern Time if games started at like no later than 7:30pm for baseball and football. The playoffs and MNF don't start until like 8:30pm.

Was in Seattle for 5 years, now in SD for 3. Nothing like college football at 9 am, NFL football at 10 am.
