went out to Seattle in October, and loved seeing the Seahawks/Colts game at 10AM and going to bar for MSU/Iowa at 9AM that saturday.

Mountain.
For NFL:
11:00 am & 2:30. SNF at 6:30.
East is way too late.

Cali. wake up and bam, football. don't have to stay up super late for the night games too.
Hard to argue with this

As a fan of European soccer, I would hate to live on the West coast. I think Eastern time would be the best. Everything is catered to your time zone for US sports, and international sports are that much later in the morning than the other time zones.

as a college kid (and anything younger really), eastern time zone is clearly the best. you get a much needed extra hour on saturday and sunday mornings for football. you dont care about staying up late to watch games, and on weekends i usually wish games were on later to watch at the bars and shite.
also, shite is pretty much catered to you. and, you know when to watch 60 minutes.
when im older, i could see that changing, but for now, eastern time zone.

Eastern and Central

I love the West Coast for sports although those games that start at 5:30 PST (e.g. MNF) can be tough, but luckily I have a job where I can mostly leave when I want to.
Big Euro soccer matches normally start at 11:45 PST which is perfect for a long lunch.

Central is most ideal for watching sports, but man would it suck living anywhere in the Central time zone. So Eastern it is!

For college football, west coast is great. But for NFL it can suck. You're not getting crap done on Sundays.
I would love to be able to get up Sunday morning, hit the beach, do some errands, grab lunch, then start watching football at 1pm. As it is, I wake up, aaaaand football. Trying to get to a buddy's place or a bar at 930am on a Sunday suuucks.

Ive been in Mountain time zone for a over a year now and it's awesome for baseball. Late games start around 8pm which is perfect.

for western and mountain time, if you live where there's a bad NFL team, you don't get the good doubleheader late games when they play at home...

Hawai'i was awesome during football season.
College ballgames start at 7am and NFL games start at 8am.
You can get your fill of football early and then go out and enjoy the day. Which probably includes watching more football, but somewhere other than home.

My future FIL was in Los Angeles at the time of the last World Cup. He's from England. He gathered his family up and took them to a nearby pub around 2 or 3 am.
