We have college football from 8 a.m to 9-10 p.m. on Saturdays. NFL from 9 a.m. to 8-9 p.m. on Sundays.

Nice to wake up to football games.

Travel a bunch and have experienced them all.

Central.

As a college football addict, I particularly dig watching Pac games that go til about midnight. I guess there's a charm to waking up to football out west but unless there's a Bloody Mary involved it feels a little off to me.

CFB games in the MST start from morning to 10. If Nevada or Hawaii is playing then that's straight til midnight.

Love the West Coast. In the summer you get east coast baseball games at 4pm and they are ending right around 7 when the west coast games (Diamondbacks) start, and of course central time zone games are winding down.

For football season, we switch from Pacific to Mountain since we don't change our clocks and I prefer the Mountain time zone for football weekends. I need that extra hour of sleep.

I think Mountain time zone is best.

I can't spend every waking minute watching sports.

West is pretty awesome. You get football from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday there's games on from 9am and then the Pac-12 7pm game that lasts until around 10:30. Then you go to bed and wake up at 10am on Sunday for the NFL and have SNF that lasts until around 9pm.

For baseball, most every game starts at 7 and then on east coast trips, they start at 4. That's not a big deal to me since I can get off of work at 3:30.

I can watch any sporting event I want (American sports) and wake up no earlier than 9 and go to bed no later than about 10:30.

Guessing it depends on age.

Elementary kid: Pacific

High school/college: Eastern

mid-20s-60s: Central

Elderly: Pacific

for western and mountain time, if you live where there's a bad NFL team, you don't get the good doubleheader late games when they play at home...

Sunday ticket son...come on!

Regarding soccer...most games start at 7 PST. Some at 4, but I just DVR those if I'm interested in it.

Typical Sunday for me involves waking up at 7 for soccer. Coffee and WnB, then Bloody Mary and beer the rest of the day.

Mountain Time is the red headed step child of US time zones. It's probably the best for football.

10 am college football is great. 9 am on the west coast is a little too early for those post Friday night hangovers.

Central time is a close second.

I just moved from the east coast to the central time zone, and I'm thrilled Thursday/Sunday/Monday night football won't keep me up till midnight next season.

Probably Central. The early games probably start to get too early in Mountain, and the night games aren't so late in in central.

if not central then mountain

One more positive for the West Coast is daytime baseball that starts as early as 9:35 PST. Nothing like watching mlb.tv while working all day.

I like central: sleep until 9, get 2 hours to get ready. When the last CFB game ends, it's Sunday.

I like Central. If I'm staying home on a Saturday night, nothing beats football til midnight.

When you go into work at 5am, those 7:30 CT games seem super late. 3-4 days a week during football season I get about 4 hours sleep. Sometimes I wish I didn't like sports.

For tv, central.
For going to events, eastern since there are more events to choose from.

I'd be pissed if I lived on east coast and had to wait until 12pm for shitty Big 10 football games. On the west coast I can at least sleep in and not worry about missing that crap.
