Another FA? A cheaper or higher priced guy? Drafting and depending on a rookie? Is there a guy already on the roster that has starting potential?

I would honestly prefer to resign him.

I would be terrified starting a rookie and a 2nd year guy with very little experience at both tackle positions. I suppose we could sign Brown for minimum and try it, but I think keeping Strief on a team-friendly deal is the best option. We could always keep him on a 1 or 2 yr deal and draft a tackle to push him for his job.

Bryce Harris and Marcel Jones, plus you could draft another guy and bring in some udfa.

How confident are u that MJ or Bh could be the next starter in line from the bench like Strief did?

Forget Brown, he showed nothing to warrant another chance to start...I agree with Re-signing Strief.

I'm more confident in Harris. He's had some experience.

Strief played fairly well this year.

Compared to what? His offensive line teammates?

He's a spot starter, never should have been a permenant fix at RT. I would like to see a significant upgrade. I'm also expecting Strief to ask for too much.

He was the highest rated tackle in pass blocking for a while this year. Not the top rated RT, but all tackles. He did better than ok.

Just depends on who is available. If he comes back cheap and we fix the center position I think one of the three tackles not named Armstead could be OK. RT usually a little easier to find. I would LOVE to get a big mauling RT though.

Strief is an adequate RT and at the right price he should be re-signed. There is nothing better for Brees than having people he trusts protecting him. If you don't think Brees had some input in the benching of Brown then youre blind.

Unless we get a hometown discount, someone will over pay for Strief. If he wants, resign. Otherwise, we are looking at Harris.

i honestly believe the loss of that call hurt just a little on offense!! he's average and humble. even though he goofed and fell on his arse when he was supposed to catch a td pass, he stays! that was streif right?! come on guys, can any of you admit that you don't miss that shite!!

Zach is a solid player and wife is from New Orleans; he will be here.

You call Brown soft but want to go with Bryce Harris? He didn't lay a hand on Rams defenders and he was brought in as an extra T. We'll re-sign Strief, he's the best option right now.

They are separated, so you can throw that argument out.

Why does it matter 'how' we replace him? Most would want at least a 'as good a player' for the same or less money than Streif cost.

I think he stays at team friendly deal and competes with the guys on the roster, FA's, UDFA and possible drafties.

It seems the only two spots left to improve the o-line are center and RT and I'm sure they will look to do just that if possible.
