And to think our grandparents did this shite every day uphill both ways barefoot. Damn, that's hardcore.

This is why I made the wife put the car in a garage last night. Otherwise, she would have woken me up at 6am complaining that the car wouldn't start and I had to do something about it.

Well, I only assume it was at least this cold every day because, you know, global warming...

shite. I am just thinking that my truck has sat for a few days without being turned on since I am out of town. It is in a garage of sorts. More like covered parking as it's open on one side and we leave the garage door open.

Our grandparents also invented battery blankets and trickle chargers.

Yeah, my car started every morning when it was -20 or below for a week straight in November. It protested mightily, but the fricker started.

Did this once in Bossier City, when it was 5 degrees and we got a 6" of snow. Car didn't start so I walked two miles to work only to find out the business closed for the day.

No joke, I was in Jost Van Dyke a few weeks ago talking to a local. He told me his grandfather used to have to row a boat to a different island every day to go to school, even when the water was rough.
Only plus is that it's never cold there.

My company vehichle this morning turned over fine. But radio and all lcd screens wouldn't come on until I almost made it to work. It was -8 and wind chill of -32 though.
