So, graduated this past December and landed a new job. I start this week and would like to get a watch that I can wear every day. I've never been a big watch guy. Looking to spend $200-300. What are some good brands to look at?

Suunto is my favorite brand. I think Seiko watches look great too. I like the chronograph ones.

I have my all black Casio G-shock for my every day watch. I switch it up with two Skagen watches (one black, one silver) when I want to look more classy. Skagen definitely looks better in thinner/less bulky arms, since they are super thin.

Prepare your anus.

Fwiw, I have a Michael Kors watch...it tells time just like all the others.

Michael Kors watches

Strongly recommend against this. It's just a fossil watch with a Michael Kors label. You are just paying a premium to have a name on your wrist. Whatever you do buy from a watch company.

I'd get a quartz watch in a nice case with a good looking dial. Buy a leather band for dressy and wear on a NATO or the original band. Laco quartz

Does your job require a watch? Otherwise, it is a waste of money.

I bought a citizen eco drive in 2005/06. I wear it 4-5 days a week and I am left handed. Its a great watch.
I got it from Overstock at a pretty good discount

Speaking of. I need a new one.

Where can you find Seiko watches in Baton Rouge?

I concur with Citizen eco-drive. I also like Swiss Army. Look on Ashford and even newegg for decent prices.

Why do guys that don't wear watches chime in on these threads? Most MEN wear watches because it is instinctive to glance down on your wrist than pull your phone out of your pocket.

Wait for "Broke" to chime in. He seems to know his shite and will give you good advice.
