they don't play till tuesday, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Many teams just charter. Easier, and cheaper, to do that rather than own a private plane, store it, hire a full time crew, etc.

Yes they do (or they "lease", whatever). But they're still subject to the same restrictions as commercial flights.

I asked because of the picture (the Delta plane), not because of the restrictions

ETA: I know it's private, to avoid further confusion. And here's a link to the Delta Private Jets Wiki. I got curious when I saw the picture

he probably knew that. VOR likes to try to show he has superior inside info.

Not anymore. Once Benson purchased the franchise, I was sort of shut out. Rita holds a grudge for some reason.

Still stuck in Indy

quote:

Expecting to be able to leave for Miami on Monday morning, the Pelicans’ initial 8 a.m. flight was pushed back to noon – but even that didn’t go as planned. As of 3 p.m. Eastern time Monday, the team was still sitting in the Indianapolis airport terminal, waiting for its plane to be readied for take-off. With over 90 percent of flights canceled from and into Indianapolis, they had virtually the entire terminal areas to themselves.

If the Pelicans are unable to get out of Indianapolis today, they’d have to try to fly on a gameday Tuesday, with a game scheduled against the two-time defending NBA champion Miami Heat at 7:30 p.m. Eastern in South Florida.

After two scheduled departures were delayed because of a massive winter storm in the Indianapolis area, the New Orleans Pelicans finally departed Monday afternoon for Miami, where they have a game scheduled against the two-time defending champion Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

Pelicans spokesman Matt Ryan said they were on their way to Miami just after 4 p.m. EST, although they were originally scheduled to depart at 8 a.m. and then a rescheduled departure at noon was also pushed back.

Uh still in Indy. Just asked @JoelMeyersNBA if we can get a bus and head to New Orleans in time for Wednesday's home game vs. @WashWizards

Jennifer Hale ?@JenHale504 10m
After trying to leave Indy for 2 days, @PelicansNBA are now switching to a new plane in an effort to play Tuesday's game w/ @MiamiHEAT
Not that we would've beaten Miami with regular travel, but we're gonna get destroyed

So any news?

We gonna have to postpone the Heat game?

That would be a bummer, but at least I could go to the PMAC and see the Tennessee game
