What's the usual around your house? My great grandmother always made Snickerdoodles for the holidays. Will be making these but looking for something else. Not really a fan of gingerbread.

We are making sugar cookies with sprinkles, chocolate chip cookies, sand tarts, fudge, and red velvet bites. Not for the house. It's holiday baking for gifts. Next weekend is baking weekend.

My paw paw's 'Best Ever Sugar Cookies'. No one could possibly make them as good as he does, but my family and I will die trying.

My youngest sister makes sugar cookies from a Betty Crocker box mix and ices them with that white icing from a can then adds sprinkles and seals them in a Tupperware container for two or three days. During that time of "no eating" magic stuff occurs and they come out as one of the tastes of Christmas in our family.

The green ivy leaf and red holly ball sprinkles are the best choice. There is a certain number that is not too few and not too many. My sister always manages to apply the proper number, which varies slightly from cookie to cookie.

Usually chocolate no bakes and sugar cookies (that we'll decorate with sprinkles and frosting).

My Mom always makes several batches of these "cookies" that are basically Club crackers baked with butter and sugar then drizzled with melted semi-sweet chocolate chips then sprinkled with chopped pecans. Tastes like toffee.

Also Betty Crocker is doing a 24 Days of Cookies deal, they've had some good ones on there.
