If I had to pick just one thing, it would be the defensive player "causing" the offensive player to false start, resulting in an offsides penalty. It kills discipline for the line.

What's your least favorite rule?

'Mel Blount Rule'- No longer allows receivers to be touched (Basketball like) beyond 5 yards .

NFL has nearly become pitch & catch. Almost impossible for DB'/LB's to stop the the passing game (without a lot of pressure).

Receivers routinely run free on pass patterns that would have never been run much(and with little success if they did) .

Any rule change after 2006 is the correct answer.

Intentional grounding should be more punitive. Basically it's just a sack if you are guilty, so why not throw it away. Also - ALL plays should be reviewable.

You have to hold onto the ball the whole time throughout the process of the catch. So if you catch the ball get your feet down and everything but fall down out of bounds and the ball pops out it's incomplete. Here's the Calvin Johnson catch the got overturned to incomplete LINK

Can we start calling it the Peyton rule? Peyton cried to Polian, who cried to the competition committee, and poof... arena league.

Pass interference at the spot of the foul. I can't deal with it. QB under throws a deep route, WR stops running, CB bumps him, 40 yard penalty.

Besides the new bullshite personal foul rules

Actually, I think it's all on Polian. He's always been a bitch going back to his days in Buffalo.

Wow. That's sickening. I wish once, just once, the refs would say "this/that is a bonehead rule, let's not call it." In a perfect world..

I really really hate this rule

But i hate the term "defenseless receiver" more, it what world is someone attacking you defenseless.

It was implemented for the 1978 season. It's called the Mel Blount rule because a bunch of other teams wanted to contain Mel Blount. He was too good and it was "unfair" so they changed the rules to make him less effective.
