20 minutes from puck drop:

George Richards ?@GeorgeRichards 7m
According to StubHub, you can sit five rows up on center ice (Sec. 118) for #FlaPanthers v #Sens for just $9.50 per. One section over: $8.50

Lolwut? Hockey is booming, just not in Miami/Ft Lauderdale/Sunrise.

4 Hours Northwest Tampa has the 11th best attendance in league.

Half the league (15 teams) average 100% capacity or higher attendance.

For comparison, 8 NBA teams average that.

You have seen attendance at The U football games and Marlins games, right? Hell, the Dolphins have trouble getting real people in the seats.

Don't act like its a hockey thing. Miami sports fans blow.

If you're gonna describe hockey as "booming," how would you describe football?

Ice hockey is very big in the barrio. $2.00 ticket prices are just too steep.

Hockey in South Florida seems about as logical as beach volleyball in Minneapolis...in January.

But I guess it works for the Lightning
