Without a doubt, Minter.

And, if Clifton Garrett isn't in P&G next year the defense will continue to struggle in that dept.

Please Chief recruit a LB that is bigger than 6'1" 215 lbs. !!!

I remember what happened last year during the FL game when he went out. Even last year it was huge not having him in the game for a few plays.

Minter Reid Mingo were big losses. Mingo could at least generate pressure consistently even if he just got "close". Our DE play was terrible this year but I think it will improve next year. I'm not impressed with what Rasco brings to the table and I'm hoping someone emergest to be a better 1st and 2nd down starter at that Position

He was a gamechanger - only a very small percentage of defensive players require a complete reworking of your offense to account for him - he blitzes, he strips, he intercepts, he bats balls down at the line.

Yeah, he could get burned, but he could just as easily rush in, strip the ball from your QB, scoop and score.

It was such a brief run, like a meteor, but it was spectacular.

No doubt he has had a rough year but he really looked good last weekend against a good o-line. Hopefully this performance feeds into the next 2 games and next season.
TM7 could have been the game changer to win the 2 close losses. But i also think Logan would have been huge to get back this season. A dominate DT would have helped stop others running game.

When we all look back years from now, Matthieu will be seen as the best to ever put on a uniform at LSU.

Minter without a doubt. He would not have allowed teams to attack the middle.
Eric Reid close 2nd, ball skills and leadership.

Although it wouldn't have been for his senior year, Mingo would have dominated this year and made the whole front line look better. Would have been awesome if they switched him to linebacker.

I agree Minter was a game changer. Tyrann was too, but in a different way. He could electrify the D in a way that few could match. Dorsey was a guy like that. And that seems to be what our D has been missing the last two years. A leader. Someone who could get everyone up and keep them up for 60 min. We need somebody who brings the swagger and who can back it up. We're not missing that guy from last year because nobody fit that description.
