I'm traveling to the in-laws' place in St. Louis next week for Thanksgiving. I want to order a couple of pies for Thursday's meal without having to hunt down a good bakery in St Louis.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a place that can ship a good pecan or pumpkin pie? So far, I found this place and this one but I'd prefer a local NO place if someone can vouch for their pies.

Lea's in Lecompte, the pie capitol of the world.

Here's the site. You have to call them and ask about shipping the pecan pie. They aren't set up on the internet.

Friend of mine sent me this pie when we beat TCU. I won the bet. It was extraordinary. Very large, packed well and downright tasty.

Pecan pies are the only thing Waterproof, LA has going for it. We spent a few Thanksgiving Holidays on Lake Bruin. Best pies I have ever eaten. Flaky crust is made with lard, just like they are supposed to be.

Plantation Pecan

If you drive through, I strongly recommend driving slow.

Just make your own, a pecan pie and sweet potato aren't very difficult.
