So this week is finally upon us, I'll cut to the chase.

Even if Vernon Davis plays, I don't like the Niners chances. They simply have no receiving threats and average defenses will rightly run blitz the offense to all ends.

It's also likely that Eric Reid won't play, so Brees will be able to abuse Craig Dahl all game at FS, lol.

I expect the 49ers will get pressure on Brees with only four rushers. He will get hit, and hit hard, hopefully resulting in several turnovers.

Will it be enough to compensate for the offense? Not sure.

If the 49ers can't return to the Superbowl this year (looking unlikely with the injuries and lack of passing threats), I will happily throw my NFC support behind the Saints.

Aldon Smith will get a DWI Wednesday so we won't have to worry about his pass rush

You're right and I think the game will come down to turnovers. I think you guys will get to Brees a few times, the key will be just making sure we don't let those times force a mistake.
I feel pretty confident in this game but I think it will be close for most of it. I say something like 27-17 Saints

If it wasn't for brees and his pick 6 fever, last year's game probably goes our way.

I'm just hoping you guys don't straight up abandon the passing game on us.

damn, reid going down definitely hurts y'all

Saints fans definitely worry about y'alls pass rush and rush offense. We've been weak against those areas for most of the year. O line looked great last night, but Dallas is pretty beat up.

I feel confident in this game oddly enough.

we're going to stomp the niners and I hope after the game we get a mini draconian sanctions meltdown.

2nd concussion this year. This one was really violent and it took him a while to get up. When healthy, he has exceeded the already high expectations set.

I think the Saints win. Davis has to be at 100%. Kap looked braindead yesterday at times. If I were Ryan I'd blitz every play and force him and the line to make a play.

I think our running game will move the ball and I think our DL will do well but I see the Saints touching 30 and our offense being too inconsistent on the road.

Kaepernick is a one trick pony who has been figured out and Gore / Davis are nicked up. I think Saints get huge revenge for last year.

Saints 38
49ers 14

Kaep is easy to snuff out. Take away his first reads by playing physical at the line w WRs and spy him/contain him. He's like a 12 year old playing Madden - doesnt progress well and instinct is to scramble when his first 1.5 reads aren't open.

I think the Niners play calling can be brutal at times as well. They put Kaep in 3rd and long way too often.

Haralson could be big for the Saints in this game. Just being a little more familiar with what the 49ers want to do on offense and all...

Ahmad Brooks killed us last year and I saw where he terrorized the Panthers yesterday.

we need to block that fella. He's an underrated player on that Defense.

We need to hope our D can contain their power running game. They'll get pressure on Drew much like the Jet's did. We'll find out what our o-line is made of.

This game will show us how we match up with the Panther's also. Very similar styles.

I don't see us scoring 34. It'll be in the 20's.

LSU fan - 9ers fan - Heat fan? - Red Sox fan?

Seems fitting...
