No this is not your normal I want Miles fired rant. I don't want him fired. I just lost all respect with him leaving Mettenberger in the game and then keeping him in there on 4th down when we should have just punted. Is Miles an idiot because I get that vibe that everyone else feels the same way I do.

If he took him out you'd be complaining that he threw in the towel and gave up

I've always tried to be positive about the guy, but he is making it really hard lately...

An equal number of people would have lost respect for Miles for giving up before the game was over.

No, that's what I did in the BCS National Championship Game a few years ago when he punted the ball on 4th and 9 down 21-0 with three minutes left to play in the season.

Mett could have taken himself out of the game, I don't know why this has much to do with Miles.

Meh, I like him as a person, but as far as coaching, I haven't liked him since 1/9

I guess the only other alternative was completely quitting like on 1/9.

Or put copeland back in and run on 4th amd a mile

My respect for Miles was lost in 2011 with the way he treated Lee during that season and especially the MNC game. Maybe he wasn't the better QB, but he filled in for JJ admirably and got us a lot of tough wins, then JJ returns and Lee isn't really given another chance. Just always thought it was low class.

Add in all the mental mistakes he makes with game management and you get what one of friends says, "No one pulls defeat from the jaws of victory like Les Miles."
