I think my scope is fricked up. I'm shooting 2 in right, but my adjustment ring is bottomed out, won't adjust further.

I've sighted every gun I've ever owned including these two. Put new, better scopes and can't get it. I'm done. Getting someone else to do it, or using the 30-30 all year

sounds like your mounts may be misaligned. Thread holes tapped out of line...ect

ETA: Oh, and we're going to need you to turn in your OB card. Just leave it at the front desk.

Or……You need to lap the scope rings. It may sound stupid, but be sure you've got the scope installed properly so that the horizontal adjustment is not in the vertical position and vice versa. A friend of mine once made this mistake. What kind of mount/rings are you using? One time I bought a used gun/scope and had a problem similar to yours. After I changed to a Weaver base and Burris Signature Zee rings and it shot fine w/o any problems.

Remount the scope. Pay really close attention to detail. Before you mount it, run the clicks all the way to limit. Then go to the other limit while counting the clicks. Then go back half the amount of clicks. I ran into the same issue you're having and found my rear mount wasn't centered. I should've known to never let a jackleg at a gun store throw in the free "scope mounting" with purchase. I was cussing Zeiss til I figured out to cuss the gun store "professional"

Reminds me of last year at the camp. I got there about the time a friend had reached your level of frustration. He was pissed because he couldn't hit the same area more than once. I looked at his target and he was all over. I sat done at the table and put two in the bull.
Td him there was nothing wrong with the weapon. Then he tells me that was the third gun he'd sighted in that morning!
Flinching like a mfer!
