Small plates. We did the royal reds, ceviche, and two others I've forgotten since then. All were delectable.

My dad was ranting and raving about "drum cheeks" or something like that...think it was a special. It's the meat under/just behind the gills of a Drum that normally gets discarded during standard fish cleaning, said they were awesome.

After looking at the menu, we had the royal reds, ceviche, crab + eggplant gratin, and spicy ground shrimp and noodles.

I believe I had the Hemingway to drink, IIRC.

Then we had the chocolate peanut butter banana pie.

Thanks folks. I'm fired up. Haven't been yet. The small plates sound like exactly what I want.

Don't sleep on the desserts.

Oysters right now are damn good; any of the raw stuff; the chili and crab pasta, fish sticks; the veg and sides are very good as well. If big fish eaters, get one of the whole fish. Sleeper on that menu is the chicken diablo.

Great cocktails and they might have a bottle or two of excellent rose left.

When I went to Seattle in 2009 for the LSU game, had Halibut cheeks at Palisade in the Marina. One of if not the best fish dish I've ever eaten.

Thanks for all the recommendations. Had a great meal. Oysters were awesome, also had Royal reds, hush puppies, crab fritters, collars, crab fingers, salad and the ground shrimp and noodles.

Ground shrimp and noodles were the only thing I wasn't overly impressed with. Everything else was super solid. Definitely will go again. Will ask for a booth. Little loud in there.

Good to hear!
Peche is excellent, never had a bad meal there.

The crab fingers weren't my style but your other choices sounds solid.

Do you remember which Oysters you had? I saw online they had 3 choices I beleive.

I asked the waitress which oysters were the best and she said the Louisiana were best. Got a dozen. As good as any oysters I have ever eaten. Really cold and briny.

Damn whippersnappers were making quite the ruckus.

I wouldn't say it was disturbingly loud, but if I were trying to woo a dame, it would have been tough to run my gambit.
