Ba Chi - No thanks

I went to Ba Chi a couple of weeks ago and I gotta say...it just wasn't good...at all.
I had the pho. The broth wasn't really flavorful and the meat was very tough.
My friend had char-grilled chicken and she said it was overcooked and almost too salty to eat.
I don't see me ever going back. I'd rather just drive to the wank and have amazing Vietnamese food.
It's NOT EVEN CLOSE to the quality of Tan Dinh...which I LOVE!

I love their creamy spicy shrimp bahn mi and their bacos...sucks for you!

food gets really solid feedback on here - its the service that normally sucks.

Almost every place serving pho is utilizing beef or chicken base in their broth. I've never really noticed much of a difference in broth flavorings ourside of more or less cinnamon, clove, and/or star anise.

I frequent Ba Chi, and I thoroughly enjoy it.
Now, I've never had the pho(not my fave in general) and I think their char grilled chicken is the weakest link.
I've never had a salt issue there, and I'm not a salt fiend.
Sorry you had a bad experience, but as other have said it's worth another shot.

Get the bacos- that is what separates it from other places in the city imo

I've been once, service was slow but bearable. The place was filled with flies. Had an assortment of different dishes and all of the shrimp bacos were good. The fries were pretty tasty but they forgot to add sauce on them until we were halfway thru with them. Everything else we tried was just meh. Id go back to give it one more shot
