If you were handed $100k no questions asked, what would your strategy be to grow it to $1 million and beyond?

Sucker bet imo. What are the odds you win 5 straight hands? Better strategy is to pick your four luckiest #s at the roulette table and put $25K on each. Assume one of them hits; you're at $875K. At that point, a diversified portfolio of equities, with about 10% in bonds, should get you the rest of the way.

FYI smart money would do this at a European casino - they don't have a double zero.

Four play parlay this weekend.

Alabama, South Carolina, Ohio State and Oregon all cover.

$100,000 bet is $1.28 million.

Hmmm, may buy some admiral shares of this

Or smarter to buy multiple funds to diversity and not working about the expense difference

I mean, i've already got one admiral, mid cap and then a regular 500 Index.

Would it be worth buying admiral of VTMSX or buying some regulars in small cap and international?

This is the worst perfoming fund in my portfolio. Although it's a decent fund, I have other funds that are kick mad arse right now. I've been thinking about selling it and reallocate that money to better perfoming funds, but I always talk myself out of it b/c the fees are ultra low.

That depends on how much time I have to do it. If I have 100 years I'd put it into a bunch of index funds covering basically every sector in the world, put it in a trust and then forget about it.

If have have 100 minutes I'd put it all on something that pays ten to one and then forget about it.
