some serious overrating of Carmelo Anthony in this thread
Him being rated over Dwade is a headscratcher IMO.

To be fair Westbrook is actually ranked 23rd after his injury setback.

If those are the 10 best players in the nba then the league is as weak as its been in 35 years

A list like that in the late 90s would've looked pretty shitty.

While the list is wrong(Steph Curry is NOT the 6th best player in the league), it is pretty weak, outside the top 3. Those guys would be elite players in any era.

Numbers 1 and 2 aren't debatable, but everything else is. There's no clear cut #3 as of now.

Thunder fricked UP the Harden deal.

What would you have done differently if you were the Thunder?

You would be a terrible GM because Dwade is a washed up flopping bitch who was gifted a ring in 2006 and rode lebrons coat tails to two more.

Anyways, espn guy said jrue Holliday was a back pick up for the pelicans. ESPN should stop hiring retards

DWade is not a top five guard anymore, much less top five in NBA.

I think it's funny how everyone says SLAM's list is way better, when it's basically the same list with one guy being 4 in on and 6 in the other or 3-5 or 6-8.

This is like arguing preseason if Stanford should have been ranked ahead of UGA (hell yes they should have for the record!)

Melo is one of the top 4 or 5 players in the game.

Carmelo played like a top 5 guy last year. Usually he's more of a top 10 player

Melo is a terrific scorer, but he does nothing else. There is no second talent there. He doesn't play D,rebound or is playmaker for others. The Knicks were better last year because they had 3 point guards in their rotation, spot shooters,a handful of guys being defense first guys and most importantly realized Melo and Amare couldn't be on the court together(even when healthy) at the same time. Melo doesn't make guys better. The Knicks built the team around the flaws of the primary scorer and he has a ton. Now, they've lost a couple of guys out that rotation and added another scorer who's going to move Melo out of his best position-power forward. That means he'll be out more on the perimeter this year. The ball stops with Melo. You don't want the ball to stop on the outside.

Every guy on ESPN NBArank 10 makes his teammates better in some form or fashion. Melo does not.

I think Slam's list is better (just looked at it), but I don't agree with either list 100%.

Kobe's ranking should probably be an average of the two lists(16ish).

Gasol at 18 is more accurate than 10, which is what espn ranked him.

Melo should be lower in Slam's list, but not as low as espn.

Curry at 10 is more likely than 6.
