While the list is wrong(Steph Curry is NOT the 6th best player in the league), it is pretty weak, outside the top 3. Those guys would be elite players in any era.

I think it's funny how everyone says SLAM's list is way better, when it's basically the same list with one guy being 4 in on and 6 in the other or 3-5 or 6-8.
This is like arguing preseason if Stanford should have been ranked ahead of UGA (hell yes they should have for the record!)

Melo is a terrific scorer, but he does nothing else. There is no second talent there. He doesn't play D,rebound or is playmaker for others. I think Slam's list is better (just looked at it), but I don't agree with either list 100%.
Kobe's ranking should probably be an average of the two lists(16ish).
Gasol at 18 is more accurate than 10, which is what espn ranked him.
Melo should be lower in Slam's list, but not as low as espn.
Curry at 10 is more likely than 6.
