He's reuniting with Terrence Malick, who's doing 2 films in which Bale will be in both. Some interesting screen shots have been popping up.

Seriously, Bale was great in that movie. Twice.

And the movie is great in itself.

the prestige is my favorite Nolan movie, i enjoy it better than the batman films and inception.

i do agree that jackman was better in the prestige than bale was.

I understand why some people knock on Bale but you have to commend someone who consistently works at his craft and challenges himself. IMO he's one of the best of this generation.

I agree. I think he is comparable to De Niro in the 70's and 80's. A blank slate that will change with whatever the role requires.

I just find him very unlikeable. That worked very well for the character in American Psycho (and, to be honest, from an acting standpoint, he'll likely be remembered for Empire of the Sun and AP). I think, from a business standpoint, he could make a good run "turning heel" from here on, and filling the gap by the aging of Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, etc., and being the talented actor brought in to be the formidable bad guy. His unlikeableness would be a factor there.

That's a good comparison. I mean the guy has done everything from Shakespeare to musicals. Sci-fi to westerns. If anything he's under appreciated.

Honestly his performance in the 3 Batman films was probably his worst performance.

i said that bales role was nothing to write home about. it's a decent movie
got it

I think he did a pretty good job. When you go back and watch you can easily see the two types of personalities he had to portray. Tough roll if you ask me

he's a huge douchebag in real life, apparently

the whole freakout he had on set, plus natalie portman, who is a class act, talked all that shite about him

Natalie Portman talked shite about him? She's a snobby bitch IRL from what I've read. But yeah, there's no denying that Christian Bale is a douche as well.

Yeah like visiting victims of the shooting in Aurora kind of douchebag. I"m sure he's the only actor to ever have a freakout on set. Just so happened it was recorded and played for the masses.

It's The Prestige, man, not Citizen Kane. It's not a very good movie; it's one of Nolan's minor works, and that isn't saying very much.

Yeah, Bale was much better than Jackman in the Prestige.

Yea I've actually read quite the opposite of bale. Everyone heard the freak out he had on the stupid fricking terminator movie set and assumed he was an a-hole

I've heard he's actually pretty cool and the director of the movie was being somewhat of a jackass himself

Whatever though, judging an actors movies based off their personality in real life is stupid anyway. Not like any of these people would be friends with us IRL
