This is one that I will watch for sure.

My dad was really into boxing so we used to order all the big fights growing up. I wish the sport wasn't a shell of its former self. Nothing like the atmosphere of a huge boxing match .

Greatest era of boxing in my lifetime. So many superstars, no one ducked a fight, and lots of huge personalities driving the sport. Will watch for sure.

Can't wait.

The first Duran-Leonard fight was great stuff, but the second one obviously makes a better documentary.

What an era: Duran, Hearns, Hagler, Leonard

Will watch that one, was a little kid at the time but I can remember my grandparents and uncles talking about the fight. A few of them had tickets.

That fight was the closest thing I've ever seen to a cartoon fight, in which each fighter continues to land bomb after bomb from bell to bell. If you didn't know better, you would think that it was a fight from some fictional Hollywood movie and not actual footage from a real fight.

EDIT: IMO, Leonard's finest hour was when he blasted the judges who called his rematch with Hearns a draw, admitting that Hearns had clearly beat him. You expect to see that kind of sportsmanship from golfers, but I've never heard of a boxer showing that type of sportsmanship.

Did you see their first fight?

Duran dominated Leonard.
Watch it some time.

Duran won the lightweight title against a Scotsman. He was behind in the 15th round and needed a knockout. So what does he do, he punched the guy square in the nuts. The Scotsman couldn't fight anymore and they gave Duran the title. WTF?

Didn't Duran have to take a shite in the no mas fight? He didn't train, barely made the weight, then ate two steaks a few hours before the fight.

If I was getting my arse kicked and had to drop a duece, I's quit too.
