Good kegerator cleaning kit?

I need a cleaning kit, plain and simple. Is this a good one? LINK
I assume so as Defalco's is the go-to place in Houston for brewing supplies.

Yes.
I don't use a line cleaning kit on my kegerator. After a keg blows I run hot water through the lines and then some star san. If the lines are super nasty I replace them.

The lines are clean but haven't had anything flow through them for a few months. Thought about replacing them but figured I'd need to sanitize regardless. This will be my first time to use it as I bought this off of a friend.

Ditto.
Clarifying that I run a water-Starsan solution through the lines. Figured that's obvious, but you never know who might try to run straight Starsan through the lines.

So in other words the cleaning kits with the solutions aren't needed? I don't have time to order anything though. I'm tapping tomorrow.

Silicon tubing is cheap. When I do a complete clean of my system I throw out the old hoses and break down all the hardware for a PBW bath. After the bath a I run a pipe brush through the hard to reach spaces inside the taps. I then reassemble everything with new hoses.
Between keg cleaning for me is to run hot PBW through the line then, then warm water, then blow it out with co2 and close it up till it's ready for the next keg.

nope, the cleaning solutions are only necessary for restaurants and bars with long lines that they cant easily/cheaply replace.

So whats the point of the kits then?
I just want to avoid having any contaminated and funky beer going on.

To charge people $65 for something they don't need and will probably only use once?
Honestly, the only way your lines will get really funky is if you let beer sit in them for an extended period of time. If the lines look a little funky; it will cost you WAY less than $65 to replace them.

I almost picked up a kegerator when I saw one for sale at Wal-Mart (Tchop location). Would be nice to have beer on draft.

And just sanitize from time to time? I'd flush the lines if I wasn't going to drink for a while. Will probably knock out most of the pony keg this weekend and then the rest for the Ole Miss game.

I am only concerned about my lines if there is no beer in the lines. So I dont bother cleaning unless the keg is empty. If I am not changing it out immediately I run oxyclean or pbw through then star san.

I keep a keg of star-san around to run through after a beer blows. I leave it in until I need to put another beer on.

You've been volunteered to help me with this then. Where can I get some star-san locally?

Cuban Liquor has plenty.

Sorry, Houston. Defalco's site doesn't indicate that they carry it. Home Depot is a no-go as well.

I would be VERY surprised if Defalco's doesn't have StanSan in stock. I would call them.

Found it on their site. The site search sucks, I used my Google-Fu to find it on their site. All good!
