I need a new restaurant to suggest to my parents that we can start going to after the Saints game on Sundays. We always go to Acme on Veterans and I get sick every time on the food there. Seafood and raw oysters are a must and they don't want to drive into the quarter.

Any suggestions?

Criteria:
Seafood & Raw Oysters
Not in French Quarter
Open on Sundays

4-7pm blind pelican does 25 cent oysters with a bar drink - wells are 2 for 1, and beer is cheap.

not out of this world great food but close to the dome and cheap. have outdoor seating and a ton of tvs for the late games.

Could it be the fact that youre eating raw oysters thats making you sick and not where youre eating them? Just a thought.

Well then both of those would work for sure.

I appreciate all of the suggestions.

No, it's not the oysters. The last 3 times I've gone there I've gotten a poboy, a salad, and gumbo-respectively, and I still get sick to my stomach. I can eat at the Acme in the French Quarter and it's fine. The Veterans location just kills me. I eat oysters everywhere else in the city and never have a problem.

If anybody else has any more suggestions I'd love to hear them. Looking forward to trying all these places out.
