Tide was horrible last time we were there, but still managed to get first place speckle trout in a small fishing rodeo on the West Bank.

Fish are going nuts. Storm minnows from last week are being pushed out of the bays. We have limited twice every day since Tuesday. Two throws of the cast net have produced enough minnows to last a whole day. Several trout over four pounds.. Good luck

What area were you fishing? What were you targeting and any idea what the problem was?

Dammit. I was going to go down and fish the beach tomorrow. And I just figured out what you mean ... It's Labor Day.

Is it usually that crowded?

He is talking about the real beach, not the beach you are thinking of.

Driving 427 miles after work today.
Just to get pissed off at my dad for chasing birds all day.

Yea fished mississippi canyon 398 for AJs. Used hardtails and blade knife jigs. Only caught one lesser jack. Barely marked any fish while there. Just weren't many fish in the area. Water was a good color and temps seemed appropraite just didnt catch em.

Fished the marsh off HWY 1 yesterday, redfish are plentiful. Also picked up a handful of school size trout pretty high in the marsh. Looks like they may be transitioning a little.
