People like shiny objects and have short attention spans. This is not news.

There's no way you had the time to read the article.

Ah, so teams without a defense. Could've just said that.

And yet, Arena League just can't get over the hump.

I don't need to read an article to know that casual fans like offense more than defense.

Mizzou is clearly one of the most exciting teams to watch. Hell, Adam Sandler is fan! Don Draper is a fan! Brad Pitt! The list goes on and on.

Some of my least favorite. I can't stand watching spread option. I actually like to watch tackle football.

Any game that ends up higher than each team scoring about 28 is usually boring as hell to me. Also one of the reasons I don't really care about cfb anymore.

It's a balance.

There's tackle football and then there's "uncreative football."

Creativity and spreading out makes it far more difficult to play..."tackle football" - making the defense cover more than...say your running back...

All interesting teams have a good QB...it's not so much the spread.

But watching LSU vs. Bama is like watching this:

Doing nothing all game...but gaining a yard or two...

What is this Rugby in the 1890's?

...and then opening up the playbook in the final minutes and suddenly scoring Tds...that's not awesome football or fun football to watch...that's playing not to make a mistake.

You would have loved that historic 9-6 Bama/LSU game. Game was full of exciting plays left and right.

Since different people find different aspects of football entertaining, this won't ring true for everyone, but I think this will generally apply to most fans.

I'm fine with some cloud of dust 9-6 bruisers, but also dig the spread just fine. UF did it and played some D too, but watching a 70-63 shootout is why there's basketball.
