Cheapest place to buy glass?

I need a 3'x3' piece of glass for a table I built. The first place i called said it would be about $50 - sounded a little more expensive than I thought it would. Should I just start calling around glass places or is there somewhere in particular I should be looking?

check out airline glass in Gonzales, brought the table to them and they custom fit a piece on it for $40 in 10 min while I waited.

idk exactly. it's for a coffee table though. maybe 3/16"?

If they need to polish the edges it sounds about right

It also has to be tempered.

I custom built a glass entertainment center with glass that I bought at Hobby Lobby. Can't remember what I paid for it, but I do remember the whole project being less than 100 bucks. That's with three pieces of glass.

Was it tempered? That will make the price go up a bit, but it is the best way to go.
