He had the aderall controversy, had the MLB Draft to distract him, came to the Box, and pitched his arse off. You can count the pitchers better than him on one hand. Too bad for him he faced one of them tonight.

And I am not an OU apologist. I probably made 100 posts in the Jonathan Gray thread

We won't face a better pitcher the rest of the way....probably the most obvious and dumbest thing I have ever said.

No. Nola doesn't have near the stuff Gray has. Nola may have out pitched him tonight, but look at the difference in lineups. Ours is a much better lineup than OU's.

Not taking anything away from Nola, but this NOla>Gray crap lets me know who knows baseball and who does not.

The dude is a stud, but how comforting is it that we know Nola can go toe to toe with ANYONE we face through the end of the year. We won't get shut out, but Nola sure as hell is capable of shutting out any team.

But he gave up 2 hits to Laird. Do you honestly believe Nola gives up hits to Laird? ANd hey he faces Big 12 competition, while Nola goes undefeated against not only the SEC.. but SUPER regional host Cal St.

Of course Gray has better stuff, but Nola just wins. Period. He is too as good! Nola can bare down with the game on the line. Gray didn't!

Eades has stuff than Nola. If LSU needs to win one game, who are you gonna take?

Probably the best we'll see all year.

And we got to him in the end. I like that.

says the guy suggesting we not pitch Nola tonight..

I love the elitist "you don't know baseball" attitude by you and some others. Get a grip, dude. Take a fricking nap and wake the frick up without being such a cynical know-it-all.

Don't you have to have a "victory" for a victory lap?

Appreciate a worthy opponent, why not?

Kick their tail and make them NEVER want to sit in the visitor's dugout at Alex Box or step foot on Skip Bertman field again, absolutely!

I would argue that nola has better stuff...he doesn't need to throw 96 mph to sit um down...

I don't know, stache, no doubt Gray has nasty stuff. But Nola is a different pitcher. Much more reliant on hitting his spots. Nola's not going to gas it by you.

When Nola is hitting his spots like he did tonight, I'd put him against any lineup in the country.
