My how time flies.

I expect Brees to have three or four more great years, then maybe a couple of okay years and then retire. (Brees is 34, but Peyton is 37 and still playing very well, and Tom Brady is 35).

Hopefully by then Brees will have mentored a fantastic QB to take the reins.

Sean Payton is only 49, even if he retires relatively early I think he has at least a decade left and hopefully he will spend it with the Saints.

If you think about it, drew's replacement could be 17 years old right now.

My fears only come to light when I think about Drew moving on coupled with an even better NFC South.

Gotta live in the moment. That's the way it is when you've got a championship contending team. Well cross that bridge when we come to it

Why would Payton go to Dallas and have to mold a new QB when he could do it where he's a fricking god?

He is divorced
His kids I believe will be in college by then...

We will pay whatever dallas does.

Will every game still be a sell out?

Of course

The Saints are fricking awesome, and have the best fans ever. They've sold out every game in every stadium that they've ever played in, and that ain't stoppin' anytime soon.

I think he'll move into the front office when drew retires

Because he has said before he doesn't want to coach a long time

He did, but it was all pre-divorce. I'm not saying it swings things away from his original plan, but it certainly gives him less of a reason to slow down at relatively young age.

Folks. CSP will never coach the Dallas Cowboys as long as Jerry Jones is the owner.

So unless Jerry kicks the bucket in the next five years, it ain't happening.

What makes you think coach Payton would have any more success at keeping Jones out of his business than Bill Parcells?

and to comment on the thread....

I don't understand why most people have this mindset of CSP leaving... my prediction is that by the time drew does leave, he and loomis will have this franchise in the position to be successful no matter who is playing QB... it could be a situation like Belichek in NE.. where the hell would Belichek go besides New England? anywheres else will be an automatic downgrade..

i guess I'm just saying that I don't think it's completely out of the question for him to retire here

No one has me mentioned that this organization has turned a corner. Benson since 06 has decided to properly manage the organization. Having seen what autonomy benson have Payton, NO will be a destination for coaches and the players will come.

We will just have to ride out the 2 years post brees.
