#Saints LT Charles Brown was back at practice today. He was third team. Rookie Terron Armstead was the starter, Jason Smith second team

Just move him to RT and be done with it.

It would be nice if Armstead turned out to be a stud in camp.

All 3 have their own question marks, but I have a good feeling one will emerge as a more than suitable replacement for Bushrod.

Would love to see the light come on for Jason Smith.

Hey Drew, how's your center coming along?
Man, BDLP is great, he's been nothing short of a terrific surprise for our organization! I"m hungry you wanna go grab some Jimmy's?
So what about your guards?
Man our guards are all pro, nothing else to say. Do you like Mayo?
Talk about your tackles please.
Our tackles are pretty suitable. I mean hell, we gotta make room for my MOOLA some how bro. Bro, do you even Jimmy John?

Or a stud in real games

Yeah I'd be pretty stoked if they feel confident enough in Armstead to play right away. I wouldn't mind it bc even if he has a bit of a learning curve, this is one of the most Tackle friendly offenses in the league.
I have a feeling Brown will probably start the season there, but with the new attitude Payton is bringing, I wouldnt be surprised at all if Brown's leash is extremely short.
Hell, to me, just throw Brown to the right, let Armstead right in at LT, and put Strief back to the "is eligible" role that he played very well before becoming the starter.

I agree except for the Strief part. If he doesn't win the RT spot in camp, cut him, take the savingsm and play Smith there. Smith actually graded out well last year with the Jets at the Tackle-eligible spot.

Forgot about that. Yeah, that'd be fine with me too. I think Strief is making over 2 mil this year...so to me he either needs to be starting or cut. Although I'd hate to cut any tackles right now with how easily theyve been getting injured.

You guys must have forgot about the kid from Nebraska. I'm expecting him to own right tackle.

Jones. If he can stay healthy, I'm all for it. Bryce Harris is my darkhorse (actually white doe).

Q: How is Ryan Griffin doing?
A: "He's doing well. We call him RG4. Not RG3, RG4. I'm always impressed with a young quarterback who comes into this system and everything that the system requires....He's got other responsibilities too, not just learning the system and taking advantage of the reps that he gets, but he's responsible for making our protein shakes after workouts. It's very specific ingredients and there are high expectations there, there is a lot of pressure when he steps into the building to do those things correctly and he's done a pretty good job thus far but we don't want him to get too cocky."

And so? Didnt you read that thread showing that Drew is more unsettled by pressure up the middle?
