It's time for sensible "Fifth Control Laws"

The founding fathers did not envision cunts like Lerner working for the people, being able to keep her job and at the same time plead the fifth when questioned about the targeting of only conservatives in the political "profiling" done at the IRS. They did not envision the type of modern day political machinery that would exist today that mames and steals from the citizens as we have today.

Do you think Obama and the dems draft a bill for such legislation about government and government workers?

I bet a bunch of people on here are going to be relieved that this isn't a thread about controlling booze.

But I agree--if she's going to take the 5th, she needs to be fired.

don't know why but your bluntness made me laugh.

Obama and the dems will draft more BS to enable their sick agenda. Hell, Obama wrote a special EO for the IRS Union so he can micro-manage it but he knows nothing.

What is your definition of fired?

She retains full pension, medical, bennies and retires to the Virgin Islands like the other two?

If it's a government worker like Lerner, fired is defined as done by a firing squad that will put her agains the wall, raise their guns and open fire on her.
The second amendment is listed second because it is more important (using liberal logic) so her fifth is much less important than my second.

And this is how our rights go down the drain.

That wasn't what I had in mind. Maybe an all expenses paid trip to Gitmo instead.

She was busy targeting conservatives, costing them and asking them questions that she expected answers to. That's what the fricking IRS is doing yet you now want to post about our rights going down the drain.

What the IRS and the admin did we're horrible, but your solution is rooted in political retribution and involves diminishing our 5th amendment rights because you don't like the outcome...yeah, that's how it starts...idiot.

They are beyond horrible - they trampled over the rights of citizens and have lied every step of the way from Benghazi, AP and Rosen and the IRS scandals. When the government ignores the rights of the citizens like this administration has done, do not lecture me about my presbyopia when you are completely blind.

What makes you think I approve any of that...as usual you make a false assumption to go on an hysterical rant....but your reactive proposal shows you to be cut from the same cloth - a retributive political animal that would diminish our rights to "fix" an unappealing outcome. Beyond horrible +1. Par!

I will admit, it was the first thing that crossed my mind.

Last I checked, I'm not a government official or politician. I haven't proposed gun control legislation that I, the law abiding citizen, must go through a background check for the second amendment rights. You sit at your computer making accusing me of wrongdoings when I have literally not broken the law or proposed laws to limit rights.

Maybe if you were more upset about those in power than in what I posted, I would actually believe you and not make "assumptions" about you that seems to have made you hysterically upset.

I am making fun of the dems on here that are completely behind laws that limit the second amendment. I have gone to protest and written many of those political asshats.

I agree. Abolish the IRS, the welfare programs, Obamacare, etc and return to a truly limited federal government that fears the people. The very fact that we openly talk about people fearing the IRS (which is government) is why it needs to be abolished and every fricking leftist that "cares" about others can spend time actually doing what they claim to be because they support "government programs." People that support such are stupid, judgmental lazy people.

One other thing - if those big government people were really for equallity and rights they would not support a "progressive tax system" that is neither equal or just.

Bull shite.

The fifth amendment was written so that our government could not beat a confession out of a person, innocent or not.

It was not written so that a person gets to avoid being fired for malfeasance in office.

LAT is merely pointing out that our current extrapolation of 'taking the fifth' is far removed from the real intent of the bill of rights.

If a government worker 'takes the fifth' to avoid
admitting she screwed up, she should be fired post haste. If criminality is involved - which her 'taking the fifth' seems to imply - then charges should be brought and she should be prosecuted.

All without her cushy pension benefits.

Coddling criminal behavior in the government leads to tyranny.

cwill is a fool that proclaims to be wise. If he were so worried about rights he would want to know why this government worker was targeting citizens for not thinking like her and for following through on the request of dems like Schumer, Pelosi and others that used the power of their office and falsely accused and villified citizens that disagreed with them.

Obama had fundraisers and is friends with domestic terrorists and criminals that openly expressed how their only regret is that they didn't do more but conservatives like myself were labeled racist for mentioning this because "it happened so long ago in before Obama was born so what difference did it make." That same theme carries on today with Obama in all that going on now in his second term.
