When I flew through there last summer the AC was out in my terminal so it was about 90 degrees in there and every restaurant had a 20 minute line. Did not enjoy.

Atlanta Airport TSA
we been doing that affirmative action since the 1960s and it has not done a damn thing.
lets break this down as simple as possible
1. ATLANTA thats the hiring pool you have.
2. Airport work do they care to get you to your destination QUICKLY? see 1
3. TSA Its the government can they do ANYTHING efficiently? The REAL id was born out of 9/11 that was 22 years ago its still not done not that it would matter but.
4. Drive to Chattanooga it would be quicker.

Hot take, but I 100% believe that Orlando Airport security is more inept and dramatically more inefficient than Atlanta.

I've flown out of Atlanta dozens of times, but it has never been as bad as the one time I flown out of Orlando.

Funny when people who don’t fly a lot are alarmed by TSA

Little ole destin-ft Walton beach airport had over a 1 hour wait this morning with only about 15% of passengers compared to Atlanta numbers.

Atlanta is the most efficient major airport in the world. If you can’t be happy with Atlanta Airport then nothing is ever going to make you happy.

Here's my tip, and you won't like it. Get there way the frick early.

Have always gotten to the airport early for flights unless something unforeseen happened. I like nothing on the planet than an airport bar and the airport bloody mary is about as enjoyable as anything can be that requires one to have their britches on. The trouble is that 2 hours ain't early enough....3 is about right but there is a heaping pile of places to go within 3 hours of ATL and you don't have to contend with the fricking airport or airlines. I have gone from 5 hours drive being my cut off for flying to 8 and I am currently at 12...if I can drive it in 12 hours frick flying....if I can't drive it in 12 hours I think long and hard about going at all. We are going to Hawaii and London in the next 12 months....I would prefer getting kicked in the nuts by a NFL place kicker than going to either one because of the unmitigated hell that is flying, and more to the point getting to a flight, that is flying today. Flying is bad enough, getting to a flight is about as bad as it gets as far as choosing to do something is concerned...

1-never fly ATL in a.m.

2-almost always because people didn’t show up to work on Monday morning.

By chance, have you noticed the workforce and difference in almost every other America airport?

It's very efficient. Monday mornings are probably the busiest time at this airport. Anyone flying out on a Monday morning just needs to understand that it's going to take time to get that many people through security.

I always try to schedule my flights around this and very rarely wait more than 10-15 minutes in pre-check. That's if Digital ID isn't open for some reason. That usually takes less than 5.

When I flew back from Belize last fall, arriving at Atlanta and dealing with their customs agents and gate agents was a rude shock after a week of people being so laid back. They were the rudest and most aggressive airport employees I've seen. Yelling at people, rude tones, abrupt with people asking questions, etc. Unbelievable that it's tolerated.

I'd probably be an ahole too if I had to deal with that many people in a day. I just see them as being direct and to the point. They're trying to get thousands and thousands of people through as quickly as possible. It's not like you have to sit there and have a long conversation with them. It's typically a short interaction and you're on your way. So what if they're loud and abrupt. Just keep moving.
