So how long can BP stall payouts in the courts?
Also, are these the same lawyers who really screwed up and made the agreement in the first place?

you do realize that BP has done everything it was asked and more right... this is 100% because of lawyer greed.

they arent stalling anymore in Alabama....courts basically told them too bad, pay up

all of alabama is covered in the region, so if you have a business, all you have to do is show a dip and rebound...pure numbers, dont need to show any link to oil spill itself

money isn't flowing to Bama any faster than any other area covered by the BEL Program.

Mr. Perfect, you derive that reasoning on your own, or read it somewhere?

Go ask those effected by the Valdez how long it will eventually take to get paid. Those lawyers that work for big oil are very good at what they do and will be able to drag this out for decades.

Bp offered settlements. They thought were fair. Why wouldn't they fight additional payment? Seems illogical.

That was then, this is now. This has been a plaintiff's attorney's wet dream.

when the case is settled and over, the plantiff attorneys stop getting paid... you realize this dont you.......

you can derive it on your own AND look at what the suit is seaking in damages.

Also, can you tell me why a start up and failed snow ball stand in Shreveport should have 100% of its lost investment repaid by BP? dentists? car washes? etc..... maybe because the bigger the lawyers force the class the more they get in fees.

Did BP argue for Judge Barbier to approve the settlement program over multiple objections at the fairness hearing last October? Didn't BP not only agree to it's terms, but also crafted the terms and language of the program?

I like how you use facts to show that MR Perfect doesn't know what he is talking about.

Mr Perfect may have ties to BP. If so, I can somewhat understand the butt hurt. If he doesn't, I can explain his lack of knowledge in less flattering, more personal terms...but I won't.

And for those in business at the time of the spill that have not yet checked their financials for participation in the BEL Settlement , please do. The revenue will have a very positive impact on our state.

So, you're basically saying if your business shows a dip, then a recovery, file a claim, no matter what business you were in...NICE. I lost $10k that year in my sew at home potholder business, I think I'll file a claim against BP. And people wonder why the amount of people that think they deserve something for nothing is getting out of hand!!

Take your beef to BP...they wrote the program and told the judge to approve it since it was the best thing since sliced bread. If you think the program is hurting BP, I'm sure British Petroleum will accept your generous donation.

Mr. Perfect, you are quickly losing all credability. Guess nobody's perfect.
