Not sure why A&M cut ties with Quinn. We either didn't like our chances or Kingsbury really wanted him here but the rest of the staff was not as high on him so when he left, we sort of refocuse our efforts on other guys like Noil and Foreman. We took like 37 WRs in 2013 so we aren't taking but maybe 2-3 this year.
Finally, an accurate post!

apparently it was all about Kingsbury and when he left, the TAMU love for TQ went with him
I think that is why TTU has jumped up, TQ and KK have a mutual admiration society going on

I Think I saw he had a 37 inch vert somewhere? Or 38"? 6' runs a 4.4 forty and consistently!

None of the 3 LA WRs will be turned down. They all have a spot in this class...if anyone is turned away, it's Upchurch
Why are LSU fans so sure Miles is two-faced enough to take back the offer that has been verbally accepted by Upchurch?

derby tigah, why did you change your name to sheetbend and still use "immature college geeks" in your posts?

The idea that immature college geeks dominate the RANT can't be a news bulletin to you; can it?
How would you describe the RANT's target market?
I got interested in LSU when Cam Cameron left the Ravens and became a Tiger. Considering LSU's lack of offensive production since killing my Buckeyes in 2007, I expect a sharp improvement for LSU in the future.
For that matter, with the arrival of Meyer, I expect a sharp improvement in my Buckeyes also.

He likes A&M, his family is all LSU, the longer it goes the more I worry.
Still cannot understand why these kids go out of state

I think Noil has a better chance of going somewhere else then Quinn does of being left out.

Have you seen our offense? I'm kidding, but I think kids are savvy these days in knowing where they can play quickly and get exposure. If your son is a running back or receiver do you want him coming to LSU. We never have a real go to back, always in rotation, and the receivers don't get a whole lot of touches. If you're a La. guy and you don't care, then of course LSU, if you have other goals, sometimes there are better options. Me I would go to LSU.

Know the family. He's still all LSU. Just enjoying the process. He is still learning to play wr. With any coaching at all he will improve quickly. Has only played football for a couple of years. He is 6'2" and still growing. He is smart and does look like the class pres., but still has great hands and runs good routes. He is a take all the way and will be at LSU in the end. Its only May. Chill out! I'm more worried about Noil going elsewhere.

Can't Quinn commit right now and get it over with? If going to LSU is that important to him than why not just commit because he has an offer in hand. If for some reason it gets taken away because he waits too long then that's part of the business of college football.

With the exception of the last 2 years. LSU doesn't do RBC. We did in 11' midseason because Ware was suspended a game and Hilliard and Blue broke out. Hilliard and Blue were going ro be the 1-2 punch in 12' until Blue got injured, Hilliard's fumblitis at Auburn, and Hill's emergence changed that. Prior to that Ridley, Scott, and Hester were the primary backs each with a 1100yd 10+ TD season.
Reuben Randle and Brandon Lafell were 2 in the last 3yrs who went 3rd round or higher. No other team in the SEC besides Florida and UT can say that.

Not trying to be mean but why wouldn't Upchurch be the odd man out? Personally, I wouldn't take him over any of the in-state kids we currently have offers to. I know its not CLM style but this is a once if a lifetime recruiting class and he may have to make an exception.
P.S. This is a good problem to have

I think Miles and staff made a deliberate decision to offer and accept Upchurch early.
They are telling everyone in-state and out of state that they will not be held captive by recruits unsure if they want to play for LSU.
If you are a WR and you want to play for Cam Cameron's pro-style offense, then come talk to him and find out if this is where you want to come.
If not, the train is loading, and there is limited seating in WR class.
With all the WR talent LSU took last year and is taking this year, I am sure there will be some great in-state WRs that make the decision to go where they perceive a more desirable situation for playing time might exist.

I have been saying this for a while now. Noil is the one on the fence.

I like everyone on this board want Quinn, Dupre and Noil at LSU but I can not agree that Upchurch is out, the kid just started playing football three years ago or his freshman year in high school. He is huge at 6'3" and their entire passing offense at Dawson is him streaking down the field and thier QB just basically throwing a prayer and most of the time Upchurch answers it. I truly believe they will make space for all these guys and we really have to look at this class in its entirety bc Upchurch may be moved to RB. Which he does from time to time for Dawson. I know the state is loaded and think if anything the Sherrif is the player left out at the end of the day. Especially, since Williams and Leslie are on year guys and the fact our offense the past couple of years has seemed challenged at times.

Everyone feels like we will get Blacknall so Just say if blacknall and either quinn wrap it up by summer do you think we will get dupre and maybe noil?

Not true, brah. Thank Cat for that. He said that Quinn was athletic. Everyone knows its racist to say whites have high motors/athleticism just like saying a black athlete is "well spoken".
Keep your radical views off the RB piller!
