This is called argument for argument's sake.

That dude is way off base. You're in open water fishing a shore line. Had you got out of the boat and fished from the shore or his dock, he'd have reason to be pissed, but not if you're in the boat.

So what if boat is fishing guy's pier first. Owner walks out with a pole to fish his own pier. Is boat supposed to move for pier owner or is pier owner supposed to wait for boat to move? The answer to this question means that this person reigns this mother fricking pier and he can tell boats to frick off IMO.

if someone is fishing from a dock, leave it alone. otherwise it is fair game, and i dare say i would have kept fishing it even if the dude was yelling at me. if you're legal, tell them you know you're legal and if they have a problem then they can get the game warden.

i put people like this in the same category as theives. they want something for themselves that doesn't belong to them, and they think they can get it just by being an arse.

If that were the case, it would be impossible to fish False River.

its possible he hasn't.... don't see what that proves other than he's possibly a hypocrite but being a hypocrite doesn't always mean you're wrong about something.

Oh, so you come along, fish under his private pier and the hard labor of building a under water structure over a long period of time, boat guy pulls up with his costas to catch fish and you're calling the pier owner a thief. What a loser you are to think that.

No... not really. He chose to extend his property onto public waterway. His risk knowing people would fish around it. He has absolutely no right to say who can fish from boat around his dock as long as there is no damage or contact being made with the dock. He is just being a dick.

I want to go fish there. Not for the fish either. I'll make sure to open carry too.
