It's simple. He won't attend the camp unless LSU offers him. But LSU won't offer without him going to camp first

Eveyone stop fueling this damn topic .... Mason Rudolph will be our 2014 QB commit for this class. Congrats on Brandon Harris on getting all this attention but hope he does well in college but the fact of the matter is that there is a 75% chance or higher than LSU goes another way than him. That could change if Brandon were to come compete at camp but it looks as though he thinks he doesnt need to camp to get an LSU offer.
No hard feeling but thats just the way some schools do it for some prospects.

Everyone should get behind a Mason Rudolph or Deshone Kizer commitment because it will likely be one of those two.

First of all please post the quoted comment where he said he wouldn't camp or didn't have to camp!!! I'm not defending anyone or any school, I've read the article and NO WHERE did Brandon say he wasn't or didn't want to camp so please enlighten me on this???

This is a quote from Brandon Harris.

Not sure if this is what your looking for but I think he makes it clear he will not camp without an offer first.

first year I have gotten into recruiting and have only read the first 2 pages, but do these guys really have to spend $300-400 for every camp they go to?

You too man...I leave you with this...tell him to go EARN his scholarship at LSU...it could change his life.

To be honest, I'm not impressed with either kizer nor Rudolph. Will definitely be a down-grade from the two studs we picked up this 2013 class

I really hope you arent believing this if Brandon is

David Cornwell is their QB and they would take him over Harris 100x over. If they would take a commitment from him it would be pretty shitty of them to do because they would just dump him later if Cornwell wanted on board.

Yes. It is an NCAA violation to waive that cost.

I see both sides to this, but once again the LSU staff is very good at the evaluation process. The in state guys that have committable offers have proven themselves at camp. True, camp alone is not the best assessment, film alone is good, but camp evals combined with film, meetings and conversations with coaches, guidance counselors, the athlete, his family, all of those things factor in to a full comprehensive evaluation. I understand the chicken vs. the egg argument, offer then I come to camp vs. camp to get an offer. I think at the end of the day, if the recruit REALLY wants to come to your school, he will come to camp.

Yes. It's very expensive and can really make parents reconsider sending their kids to camps. I know the cost is one the reasons that wildman almost did not send Brumfield to another LSU camp. That was a while ago though. Some apparently get that fee waived or paid for by someone else, but they're the exception to the rule.

See how it works with alot of schools is they come watch him during SPRING PRACTICE. Then they sit down with the kid and interview him. Go through film with him. The OC, who is the guy that like, works with the quarterbacks forms an opinion watching him go through a workout during SPRING PRACTICE. They then offer without the kid having to go to some BS camp that is a money maker for the school.

i hate you so much

Harris also claimed an lsu offer at one point and claimed lsu told him he was the best QB in america. It was all a ruse to get his $400.

Bottom line. If Brandon Harris want to come to LSU, he'll go through the steps necessary to get a scholarship offer and he'll come to LSU. If not, best of luck wherever he goes. LSU fans shouldn't get mad if he goes elsewhere because he doesn't have an offer. Harris shouldn't get mad for not having an offer from LSU because the coaching staff has made it clear what they want from him before offering him, and so far he has not or does not want to go through the process of coming to camp and earning an offer. I would like to see this all end with Brandon in an LSU uniform next year, but it is what it is.

Yeah and I read the whole article and if you read the whole article it says if a school doesn't plan to offer him he didn't want to go! Which it also say that they told him they planned to offer once he camps! So stop making it sound like something it isn't! And if your gonna bash a kid because some article wants to create buzz no matter if positive or negative as long as it creates it!!! Yeah if your gonna bash LSU recruits and make assumptions about kids comments your no true LSU fan in my eyes and I'm sure many people feel this way I'm also sure these recruits feel the same way so carry on with ya sorry life! I suppose I can make assumptions about YOU if your gonna make em about kids huh bra?? Makes sense to me! If you have a problem with my assumptions then stay away my man!

Why should they have to offer him w/o seeing him compete firsthand with other recruits? Evidently he hasn't earned his offer yet from LSU but does want to put out the effort to earn it. If he wanted to be in purple & gold he'd be on campus in an instant. Sounds like another QB who doesn't have the chest to play big boy ball
