Real frog, just held out on a pole towards the camera. I've seen it before, but it popped up on my FB feed again today. Making another viral round.

Goliath bullfrogs get HUGE, but they ain't from around these parts. Of course neither are nile monitor lizards but a couple rednecks caught a 9 ft one when I was in highschool on the ouchita river just outside of Smackover.

Thanks, but that one is getting out of that phase though. She lost interest in a box turtle yesterday after 2 minutes. Her 2 younger sisters are full-bore rednecks though. They have an aquarium of critters living (dying) on the kitchen counter right now. Geckos, lizards, a toad, doodle bugs, a couple earthworms, and an assortment of beetles they've collected lately. My wife is thrilled about it.

If you look closely it looks like the tines from a gig just to the right of the frog's eyes. Cleverly disquised with the guys beard.
