Batwoman and myself are headed to New Orleans this weekend for the Green Lantern's wedding and need a couple of dining suggestions. Staying it the Quarter so something around there would be nice but not necessary. Was thinking Galatoire’s or Stella but open to others.

French Quarter Fest this weekend. Good luck. Use Opentable.

You're about the third person, this week, looking for reservations in the FQ during French Quarter Fest weekend. I recommend eating away from the FQ and to start calling now and take what you can get, quickly. You might get something in the FQ, but maybe not at the time you'd like.

You could try Arnaud's Jazz Bistro in the FQ, maybe.

You're probably shite out of luck for this weekend in the FQ and probably the CBD as well.

Look elsewhere, specifically more Uptown. Try:

Coquette
Patois
Clancy's
Atchafalaya
La Petite Grocery
Brigtsen's
Dick and Jenny's

That's a solid list.

You might be able to get in to Le Foret in the CBD, but that might be a long shot. Expensive, high class place though (just a warning).

I wasn't pointing out repetitive threads. I find it odd that folks plan trips to New Orleans and wait until the last minute to make reservations for meals in the FQ, particularly, in addition to elsewhere in the city. I'm OCD about planning, though.

Iris is a great restaurant. Scallops with grapefruit butter, any and all of his pastas, lamb, steak frites.

Good, secretish place in quarter.

Yeah that doesn't make much sense to me .. but I think most of the threads are people that have decided day of to make a last-minute trip.

nice. Iris is very under-recommended/discussed. really solid food over there.

Meauxbar falls under that distinction as well, but Iris is the better restaurant.

I thought so!

Maybe you can use that government error refund check to pay for a nice gluten-free night out on the town.

Ate there once, food was just okay, so I gave it a second chance. Should have never gone back. But the bartender makes some cool signature drinks.
