So I got my brakes and rotors changed not too long ago and my car started making this like squeeking noise. So someone told me it was probably the brake fluid was low or something. He filled it up and not long after I noticed something leaking from my car, the brake fluid, again.. dafuq.

It hasnt done this before, but I was in an accident not long ago and all of that shite was messed up Im sure...

Is it dangerous for me to keep riding with it leaking. What about if Im filling it up? I cant get to the place to fix it right now bc Im on the road everyday for work.

Will I die?

I would get that professionally checked ASAP. Brakes on a vehicle are somewhat mandatory.

Paging Bapple. You won't die if he gets his hands on your brakes.

KR... I had a professional fix them, and I plan on bringing it there. The brakes are working fine though. Its just an annoying squeeking noise that sounds like its falling apart. I feel like a democrat riding around in that thing

Take it to a shop and have them find and fix the leak.

Its a bad idea to attempt to drive it with leaking brake fluid. Even if you keep topping it off, the system works on hydraulic pressure, a leak can lower the pressure and introduce air into the system - translation: it wont work.

Since you just had your pads and rotor replaced, there is a good chance there is a crack in the line from them bending the lines around when they installed the new stuff. Not saying the shop caused the damage, the hoses could be old / brittle and moving them around just sped up the process.

do not drive!!!!!!!!!!

Have it checked out immediately!!!

We can't have our only
LLOTOB GETTING HURT BECAUSE SHE WOULDN'T CHECK OUT HER BRAKES...

If the brakes go out completely be ready to use the emergency brake

Don't listen to KingRanch, GreaseMonkey and the other alarmists. It's really not that big of a deal. Brakes are pretty simple, but mechanics charge and arm and a leg for some reason.

It may be quicker, easier, and far less expensive to install a FABS (Fredrich Auxiliary Braking System) just in case your primary brakes really do have a problem.

We're talking 15 minutes and the cost of a cheap Harbor Freight tools saber saw...(below)

This asshat had an actual question he posted in that thread

Like I said, not every shop has more than one ASE guy. Some don't even have any. Most just plug into a computer and do what it says

I know maybe 10 different mechanics and most of the shops they work at have one or zero ASE mechanics

Update:

So today I had to drive to bumfrick Montegut do an inspection and I found my steering wheel extremely hard to turn, like it was stuck or something. Drove it home slowly and carefully after almost 3 head on collisions

Yall remember how I said I kept putting brake fluid in my car? So my husband finally went to check it out, and apparently the guy who showed me where to put the brake fluid, told me to put it in the fricking steering fluid place instead...

holy frickballs. Needless to say. Its being towed to the shop as we speak..

no.. They didnt frick it up... I did on accident.

When it started making the noises, I had pulled up to my kids school and one of the dads was like "oh that sounds like your brake fluid, oh I have some, let me top it off for you" So he showed me where to put it and stuff, and Ive been filling it up because it kept leaking
