fricking ridiculous. That's entirely too high of a fine. In the 1st place I don't think there should be a fine and if there was there's no way in hell it should be 200-2000 a bird. Everyday I give up on society a little more

I used to help a friend at his minnow farm. Frickin cormorants would tear up the minnows. We had a depredation permit and shot many birds, but they still put a hurting on us.

when the fine was lower..... people shot many a ibis...and took their chances.. not so much now....

I know of a case where a guy went in front of a judge for 10 gros becks (sp?). Got popped 3K per bird.

Should have got a low power BB gun, just to scare them off, without killing them. Not sure if that is legal, but seems like a legit option. It works for me with stray dogs and cats around the house.

He can shoot a shotgun all day as long as he doesn't hit any birds....
