Well, if it worked I would assume he wouldn't be killing more yotes.

Maybe he shoots them elsewhere

bullshite laws created years ago to protect birds that shouldn't even be federally protected

and to those that say, "get a decoy, or those motion detection sprinkler things..", after a while the shitbirds eventually get used to them or knock them out of the way.. i seen't it

fricking birds

So he could be fined $40,000 for shooting 20 birds? Will he even profit that much? Seems like he would have a better ROI if he just followed the law rather than be a dumb arse.

Question, how did he get caught? Did someone see him shoot them, did he brag about it? If you're going to protect your crops by killing wildlife, especially federally protected, make sure no one is around to see and keep your damn mouth shut. JMHO

That's what he was thinking..he didn't go into detail but the GW must have caught him in the act. His fields are close to the city, so getting caught there is way easier...

Shotguns seem to scare them away for longer than .22 rifles but theres always that risk of getting caught...

Nearly all farmers shoot animals destroying or eating their crop, unless you are a farmer, don't judge him.
It takes lots of money and long hours to get the ponds ready, you kind of lose it when you see all those birds eating your crawfish..

I doubt that is his best defense in front of a federal judge.

Wait, since when can't people judge people who break the law?

I'm not trying to be a smart arse. It just seems like he would be more profitable if he didn't have to pay a possible $40,000 fine.

Talk about bad luck, the game warden just happened to be in the area when he was shooting them or someone heard the shots and called the gw on him ? He's pissed off a neighbor for them to call the gw on him. Usually other farmers aren't going to mess with other farmers who are protecting their crops, they know what's at stake and how hard it is to successfully farm.

Might want to do a little research about issues affecting crawfish production...appearances can be deceiving.
