Evidence just now and I don't want a coach or player on the team whose purpose is to try to LOSE games.

Yeah "tanking" really paid off by giving us a #1 pick and a coach that doesn't want to play him. Sorry if I want to support a team that isn't a charity case *coughcough#1pickbySterncoughcough* like some of you want with them "tanking."

He played 32 minutes tonight

What would you do make this team a contender?

I'll hang up and listen

Plus he played the ENTIRE 4th quarter except for an offense/defense substitution Monty made with him and Anderson.

Gordon is an excellent second or third scoring option, but definitely not a leader by any means. however he's not the problem. Monty is.

Monty needs to go back to doing what he does best, being an assistant coach and not calling the shots.

Gordon can absolutely be a primary scoring option on this team, especially as AD develops and Ryno continues to hit threes. The correct answer is Vasquez cannot be the primary scoring option as he has been recently. If Gordon had the ball half as much as Vasquez, we win tonight.

Monty is giving him more playing time now because the national media saw him get called about after that embarrassment to the Lakers game. Look at his stats from last February...he only cracked 30 minutes TWICE.

Gordon can definitely put up his usual points when healthy, but he is not a leader. if Davis can develop into that role then I think the team will be fine.

Which was just incredibly dumb.

They did get a good shot that Ryno missed, but Davis is arguably the best offensive player on the team- his roll ability alone opens up so much.

I think AD will develop into a leader and I agree Gordon is not there yet. But I think it is absolute madness to run everything through Vasquez for 47 minutes then call on a guy who you have had standing in the corner all game to bail you out. I really feel that Gordon needs the ball in his hands a lot more and hopefully him and AD can develop some good chemistry.

The link TigerinAtl posted on Thursday has a good quote about this.

Basically Monty said that Gordon off ball opens up the floor because defenses respect him.

Gordon with the ball doesnt work as well because defenses dont respect anyone other than Anderson.

I understand this and read that quote/article. There has to be a better option than Gordon standing in the corner though. Vasquez is not looking to get Gordon the ball. He is passing to others and if they don't have a dunk. he immediately runs and gets the ball. It blows my mind that Gordon had six shots tonight and Vasquez had 25. Unbelievable.

Conspiracy!! People need to stop being so damn negative yea we played like shite 20+ turnovers or something like that but stuff happens...ever think that our players are affected by our fan base maybe because we have terrible attendance or the negativity on blogs and boards like this? Oh no cant be that they are only 20-25 year olds they should be mature enough to block it all out and we watch from the stands and act like we know better than Monty and Dell...its just easy to blame shite on other people when the game ends its takes a 5 year old to play Captain Hindsight...grow up and give some intelligent arguments for once...give your opinions be frustrated THATS FINE but trashing the coaching and players day in and day out has got to stop

I'm not saying that its our fault that our Hornets arent playing well I'm saying negativity doesn't help anyone

show some support to your home team sorry for the rant (this was written in the first 5 minutes of this thread beginning when the first post was complaining that EG and Monty are tanking on purpose)
