They have to hate him. Took tannehill too high. Didnt play their best players last year. His playcalling in the redzone hurts your brain trying to understand it. He lets dansby and bush go, etc...

Most of them I know don't hate him yet.

Lol what? Who should they have taken over tannehill?
Everyone expected the Dolphins to be one of the worst teams in the league, instead they were competitive in almost every game. Philbin has done a great job, every Dolphin fan I know loves him. Will be a make or break year for him with the added offensive weapons.

They are gonna hate him if he can't get anything out of this eventual cap hell free agency spree.

Why did they win all those games last year? I agree they were crazy competitive and I had more faith in them than most but it wasn't philbins offensive genius. The guy made baffling decisions in the redzone

The Dolphins had the 11th highest TD% in the RZ, up from 24th last year. They had Hartline and Bess are their starting WR's, not exactly great red zone threats.
I agree that his offense didn't set the world on fire, but I don't think he did a bad job there considering they had terrible receivers and a bad OL. He needs to get the offense up to the 12-16 range this year.

You can say that about every team in the league. And since when is Philbin the GM? Knocking him for drafting Tannehill, who looked good as a rookie, is dumb on a few levels.

I can't count how many times he gave it to bushes backup in short yardage situations for that a-hole to fumble or fail to convert
Fantasy team...yeah I'm bitter

The dolphins won't do anything this year. They are average in almost every facet of the game.

i thought the same thing last year yet they played a lot better than i thought they would.
can't say i understand some of their moves so far this offseason though.
cutting Dansby and Burnett and dishing out a lot of cash to Ellerbe and Wheeler could really come back to haunt them.
don't have an opinion on wallace. kind of hard to with the questions they will face in the run game that would set him up in the first place.
up to lamar miller and daniel thomas to make something happen. plus you have a QB who is young and they lost Fasano at TE. guess they like that kid from Mizzou they drafted last year.

Doesnt seem like a good reason to hate him lol.

Easy to say now.
There is not one single person who would have said "good pick" if they took Wilson in the top 10.

I think the fans are ok with philbin. Jeff Ireland, on the other hand, is on a short leash with the fans. If some of these questionable offseason moves don't work, look for a fan mutiny against Jeff Ireland. JI earned some credit with tannehills better than expected play last year.

Was going to post this. Everyone down here hates Ireland.

Philbin came off as a cranky, sour old man in the Hard Knocks show. Does the guy have a personality?

That would be Mike Sherman making offensive decisions that baffle the mind.

None whatsoever.
ETA: But the players seem to play hard for him.
