I played a bit this evening on Mindflayer with a Half-Elf Rogue (My longest running character around a real gaming table was a Half-Elf Bard, but close enough). I finished the tutorial and the first level 4 dungeon in Neverwinter.

Looks extremely promising.

To say the least. Everything is smooth... nice interface, fluid combat, a development system that is true enough to pen and paper for my tastes. If anyone decides to get a guild together, let me know. I will not be attempting to run this one - finally learned from past mistakes.

I bought the guardian pack last night. I haven't seen anything in this game yet that's p2w, so that's a good thing. I'm enjoying it so far, it hasn't gotten grindy or anything like that yet. The crafting system is different than your usual mmo.

i took off work tomorrow to get more involved in this game.

havent been able to play yet. I hear the combat is unique and interesting. That intro video sold me.

I had to see what all the fuss was about. Not a bad little MMO. I didn't get far in, but it does seem to have a nice combat system. Jefforize, you are sorely missed on blops 2.

It has the makings of a great dungeon crawler. The level design is sparse, as you can imagine, but the enemies and their tactics are interesting.

The content so far has not been challenging, but I could see it becoming so once health potions become more expensive and don't scale as well with your hit points, and campfires get farther apart.

OP needs to update the title,
as this isnt Neverwinter Nights, just Neverwinter

Sid, that was good times but man that game can frustrate me

I am most intrigued about the ability to make your own quests though... true D&D tabletop style.

Neverwinter Nights

Sometimes I start NWN back up, and then hear the words 'waterdhavian creatures'. And then I close the game out, and continue living my life normally.

The same thing happens when I think about starting up NWN2. I make it through character creation, I'm happy with my roll, and then I hear Daeghan's voice: "Thirty years ago today..." And I'm done.

I just can't get back into them after all this time.

Same here but I have been re-consumed with Atlantica Online lately so I haven't even played it yet. May log in tonight just to reserve some names.

I have a Mage charater to level 9 and a rogue to level 7. I guess it is just me but everything seems so linear. Maybe I am just tired of having to follow a mission path with no real choices. I will probably pass on this one, feels to much like The Old Republic for me. I am banking on Camelot Unchained and maybe the Elder Scrolls online. But mostly Camelot Unchained, hopefully it is really player driven.

I made it to level 12 on my half orc great weapon fighter

Got some more abilities. A leap, a cleave, a snare, an attack speed buff

I had a LOT of fun playing as more abilities became unlocked. this game is really good IMO for a f2p mmo.

I keep getting disconnected though which is annoying as frick. Anyways,

the Combat isnt too tedious. Yes, its a bit linear at this point. Most MMOs in the early levels are though.

Classes are:
Great Weapon Fighter (2h dps)
sword/board tank
Control wizard
Cleric
Rogue

all seem pretty fun. if you like RPGs, killin stuff, dungeon diving, progressing a character, and being in a MMO world i HIGHLY recomend giving this a loot. Its free! Altho i am sure i will donate some $$$ for cool shite

I found some tough bosses for sure

Bottom of the Nasher Headquarters
and
Ogres

Nothing too insane, but some mobs that will make you move around/pay attention

Obviously throwing all your coin at potions can make things trivial but id rather not waste all my money on potions when i can just avoid the damage received. The meta game, so to speak.
