I think I'm gonna give this a try too when I get back from the honeymoon.

I'll watch this thread to see if you guys ever decide to get a guild started.

It's open Beta now, right? I'm thinking of getting into it this evening if that is the case.

I need to take a short break from getting my arse beat in Dark Souls and get my MMO fix. This looks like it will do the trick.

Yeah man give it a shot. Game is kind of slow early but once u get to Level 10 and unlock more abilities it becomes fun

Loot is plentiful
Good challenges
Decent story

I wish there were more mob control spells, I can stop one guy and that is it. Also could use a few more aoe spells, only thing it has is a tornado spell but is a small area. The wizard defiantly does well when working with a group, he can stop the main guy and hold him up for awhile. Soloing is getting tough right now, using a lot of potions so far. A cleric, wizard, guardian fighter combo could do some damage I think. I am on now if anyone wants to add me, I can switch between the two characters I have to run with anything.

This is my only reservation with PW games. Although I enjoyed playing them in the pat, they tend to slowly ramp up the pay-2-win until I lose interest. Hopefully this one will be different.

I like these types a bit more. I have donated enough to PW in the past only to have it become worthless as the game progressed. I remember in Forsaken World the level 40's running through arena's and demolishing the level 60's due to the unreal gems you could buy for around $500 a piece. While the game was fun it turned south quickly when the server was taken over by a small guild of about 20 or so people. All the high end gear was located in a very small pvp zone that became barren due to the huge advantage these select few that spent thousands of $$$ had.

ETA: I have no issue with people spending crazy amounts of $$$ on games. I myself have donated 2k+ to PW over the years according to my account history I just looked up. I just tend to lose interest when it becomes so outrageous. The best geared guy on the FW server I was on spent over 150k in less than a year.....

holy frick

i honestly dont know enough about the endgame to accurately comment.

from what ive found on the website , you can spend $20, $60, or $200. And of course, theres a $ to Zen conversion

Your usual fare, such as Keys to unlock Lockboxes you find (like in gw2).

Mounts
Neat cosmetic enchanements.

I think "founders" can write their own quests?
theres a badass Spider mount ive seen running around too
Horse mounts
etc.

I havent looked too much into what money gets me though. Still getting the basics down and enjoying the simple shite like exploring and questing and leveling up.

Gonna get into this more tonight. Thinking of making a halfelf trickster or a (demon looking race) with the 2h.

yeah, those two classes are the most fun early from what i can tell

i tried a Guardian Fighter (tank), the shield block mechanics are cool and are obv. needed for endgame but early levels were kinda boring. to be expected though
