Hank Gathers gets an honorable mention from me. My answer is Chris Jackson, but Hank Gathers was such a stud in that Paul Westhead offense that he deserves mention.

Manning loses points to me because the way Stacey King handled him his Sr year. But as a Junior and a Freshman he was just unstoppable. Especially with Dreiling at C his Freshman year.

Hersey Hawkins was a scoring machine. His injury is what gave us the dream team

Mark Randall and Adonis Jordan were pretty damn good also couple years later.

Xavier McDaniel leading the nation in rebounds and scoring was more impressive than Gathers.

I want to say he was 28 and 19 per

I remember Corliss Williamson being an absolute monster in college. Always thought he would've been a great NBA player...

Charles Barkley

Chris Jackson was by far the most unbelievable in person.

You do understand the difference in systems? You also understand what McDaniel did as the focal point of his team at Wichita? Carr and Levingston were gone. Loyola had Lowery, Kimble, and Fryer. Wichita was McDaniel and nothing else when he led nation in scoring and rebounds.

He wasn't the best I saw but John Williams was as good or better than a lot of players mentioned in this thread.

I've got to go with him as well followed by Larry Bird.
Little known fact about Alcindor: UCLA was coming off a national championship and were rated #1 in the country in the preseason rankings the following year. Back then, freshmen weren't allowed to play. The UCLA varsity team played an exhibition game against the Lew Alcindor led freshmen team and lost by 15 points! That's how good he was.

CJ had some 50pt games as a FRESHMAN.

CJ was a one man show and took down UNLV when they were unstoppable.
