Yeah, I did a deer like that, but it was with my truck. Hope to not do it again.

One of the worst mistakes I've ever made was trying to skin a deer that had been hit by a car. It had pressed guts all thru the meat.

Haha that's how I was taught to gut them. My dad always did it, so I do it, too.

That's how I was taught. You still have to put a blade on them and get the residual guts out though. The squeeze them down, spray innards out the a-hole trick is mainly used to lighten the load while hunting and packing around a bunch of rabbits.

I do this right after I kill a rabbit in the feild. lightens load and keeps the meat from retaining a dead rabbit gut smell/taste.

Cut them sometimes, but most the time i give them the squeeze. We also slide them in an empty plastic bread bag, takes care of the bloody mess you get in your vest pouch.

I've been thinking about trying it, but it looks so disgusting that I haven't done it yet. I prefer to slit them and accidentally cut the stomach spreading smelly, vile shite all through them.

ive never done that,,, it makes sense though... carrying 20 big arse swampers around after killin' em from the banks of the Boeuf River would have lightened my load... But, back in them days,,, I didn't need no "load lightener"...

I always take a knife and cut them out as soon as I shoot one. Never sent them through the ass..
